Abortion seems to be the only medical procedure that people want to deny you based on how you got in that situation.
Drove drunk, got in an accident and need an organ transplant? No problem.
Messing around with a gun, accidentally shoot yourself in the leg and need surgery? Of course.
Smoke tobacco for most of your life and need treatment for lung cancer? Yep.
Climb a tree, fall out and break your leg? We’ll fix that right up.
Have sex and get pregnant when you don’t want to be? YOU GOT YOURSELF INTO THIS SITUATION AND YOU DESERVE NO MEDICAL HELP OR COMPASSION! THIS IS YOUR FAULT AND YOU WILL DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES!
YEEZUS (my opinion)
1. On Sight - 9.5/10
2. Black Skinhead - 10/10
3. I Am A God - 8/10
4. New Slaves - 10/10
5. Hold My Liquor - 9.5/10
6. I’m In It - 7/10
7. Blood On The Leaves - 9.5/10
8. Guilt Trip - 8/10
9. Send It Up - 8.5/10
10. Bound 2 - 10/10
“Yeezus” is definitely more of a club-banging LP than any of Kanye’s other releases, and production is nearly flawless as always with the samples in “Blood On The Leaves” and “Bound 2”, production work from Daft Punk, etc. However, what left me wholly disappointed was his lack of socio-political discussion I expected to litter the album after hearing “New Slaves” and “Black Skinhead”, not to mention the aforementioned track’s title BOTL. Most of the lyrics are about pussy and money (while at the same time condemning materialism), which we haven’t heard enough about from Yay (sarcasm). But as Yeezus himself said, “…I could give a fuck about selling a million records, as long as I put out an album for the summer that y’all can rock to all motherfucking summer.” In that, he near completely succeeds.
